Today’s Wednesday, and on many Wednesdays, Google pushes out a nice Android app update or two. This Wednesday is one of those Wednesdays.
Google Photos for Android is now receiving an update that’s focused on improving in-app navigation. The refreshed design includes a bottom bar for jumping between Assistant, Photos, and the new Albums View. Albums is the new name for Collections, and it includes a scrolling carousel that’ll give you easy access to your shared albums, people, places, things, animations, collages, movies, and device folders.
This update is version 1.15 of Google Photos, and it’s rolling out today. Google says that the tweaks will make their way to the iOS version of Google Photos soon.
Photos are extremely important to many users, and lots of folks rely on Google Photos for viewing and saving their images.
