Sony revealed last year that it will push Android 6.0 updates to many of its devices, ranging from the Xperia Z2 up to the Xperia Z5. We haven’t seen any updates go out quite yet, but at least some Xperia users will get a taste of Marshmallow soon.

Sony has launched an Xperia Beta Program that will give members early access to Android 6.0. The purpose of the program is to have the Marshmallow update tested by a selection of regular users before it goes out to the general public.

So how can you sign up? Unfortunately, the Xperia Beta Program is pretty limited right now. To enroll, you’ll need an Xperia Z3 (D6603), Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803), or Xperia Z2 (D6503), and then you’ll need to install this app. The requirements don’t stop there, though, as Xperia Blog reports that the program is currently only live in Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain.

Android 6.0 is a notable update, bringing goodies like improved app permissions and Doze battery saving. And while Sony hasn’t yet announced when it’ll begin pushing Marshmallow to its Xperia lineup, the news that they’re prepping a beta test suggests that they’re making progress on getting Android 6.0 ready for the public.
