After making their debut last month at CES 2016, the 18k Rose Gold and Platinum versions of the Samsung Gear S2 Classic will officially launch in the US tomorrow.
Both the 18k Rose Gold and the Platinum versions of the Samsung Gear S2 Classic will be available from Samsung.com, Best Buy, Amazon.com, Macy’s, and other shops. Pricing will be set at $449.99 apiece. To compare, the standard black Gear S2 Classic normally sells for $349.99, but is currently available with a $50 discount.
The 18k Rose Gold and Platinum versions of the Gear S2 Classic are the same as the standard Gear S2 Classic when it comes to specs. What makes them special are the finishes, with one offering Rose Gold plating and the other coming with a platinum hue. Both watches come with leather bands, as well.
Gold has been a popular color in mobile over the past couple of years, but now it seems like Rose Gold is the hot new hue. Companies like Apple and Huawei are currently offering Rose Gold hardware, and now Samsung will be getting in on the action, too, which seems like a wise move.
