Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S7 later this month, but if you don’t mind picking up last year’s flagship — or you just want a bigger screen — you can get a deal from Sprint right now.
Sprint today announced a promo that guarantees customers $200 for their smartphone trade-in when they buy a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy Note 5. After that $200, you can get a 32GB Galaxy S6 for 24 monthly payments of $9.67 apiece or a 32GB Galaxy Note 5 for 24 payments of $16.67 each.
This deal is available to new and existing customers, but any current Sprint folk must be eligible for an upgrade. It’ll run through March 3.
It’s also worth noting that the smartphone that you trade in must work, so you can’t bring a dead device and expect to get $200 for it. Additionally, Sprint says that the phone you trade in can’t be leased, so you’ll have to fully own any device that you offer up.
As I mentioned previously, the Galaxy S6 is expected to be replaced by the Galaxy S7 later this month, but the GS6 is still a solid phone that ought to serve most everyone well with its high-res display and solid camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 5 is one of the best phablets around, and it’s not likely to be replaced until later in 2016.
This new Sprint deal is available in stores today and it’ll extend to Sprint.com and Sprint telesales (1-800-777-4681) by the end of this week.
