After making its debut at CES 2016 last month, the Huawei GX8 is now available.
The Huawei GX8 is being sold directly by Huawei for $349.99, and Best Buy is selling it for the same price. Meanwhile, Newegg will begin selling the GX8 tomorrow, but you can pre-order right now for $299.99.
Huawei’s GX8 is the latest addition to the ever-expanding “affordable flagship” smartphone market. It’s got an aluminum body with a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, fingerprint reader, 2GB of RAM, and a 3000mAh battery. It comes with 16GB of storage built-in, but you can add up to 128GB more using the GX8’s microSD slot. The software on the GX8 is Android 5.1 running beneath Huawei’s custom EMUI 3.1 user interface.
