Remember Sprint’s big switcher offer that it launched before the holidays? Sprint touts it as being the “biggest wireless offer in US history,” and now MetroPCS is trying to one-up Sprint with its own “Biggest Offer in Sprint’s History.”
Starting January 21, folks switching from Sprint, Boost Mobile, or Virgin Mobile can get a MetroPCS plan that’s up to half off Sprint’s Family Share Pack plan pricing. The amount that you save will vary between 22 percent and 50 percent depending on which plan you switch from, which you switch to, and whether you’re switching one line or two.
MetroPCS is also offering Sprint switchers a $50 rebate to be used toward a new phone. With that rebate, you can get a free device like the LG Leon LTE or Samsung Core Prime, or you can put the $50 toward another phone that MetroPCS sells.
Finally, MetroPCS says that its customers on a $50 or $60 plan can add another 5GB line to their account for $30 per month.
These promos will be available in MetroPCS stores starting tomorrow, January 21. They’ll be available for a “limited time.”
MetroPCS is a prepaid subsidiary of T-Mobile, so if you do make the jump to Metro, you’ll be using T-Mo’s network. As I’ve said in the past, it’s wise to try and do some research before jumping to a new network, so you may want to ask T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers in your area how their service is before making the jump.
