HTC recently said that the One A9’s Android 6.0.1 update and the One M9’s helping of Marshmallow would be coming in December, and the company is sticking to its word.
HTC’s Mo Versi just revealed that the HTC One A9’s Android 6.0.1 update will be available for download in the next 24 hours. Versi says that the unlocked HTC One M9’s update to Android 6.0 will also be released in the next day. The former update adds goodies like new emoji, while the latter will bring Marshmallow treats like Doze battery saving and granular app permissions.
Happy Holidays! Updates to the Unlocked A9 6.0.1 and Unlocked M9 6.0 will be able to be downloaded within next 24 hours! Enjoy :-)

One of the highlights of unlocked Android phones is faster updates, which is the result of the fact that device makers don’t have to put their updates through a second round of testing with carriers before pushing them to customers. HTC is showing that this is the case with these One A9 and One M9 updates. If you’ve got an unlocked One A9 or One M9, keep an eye out for these updates in the next 24 hours. You can also check for ‘em manually by going into Settings > About > Software updates.
