Project Fi is Google’s experiment in being a wireless provider, and if you’ve been helping Google with its experiment, the company may send you a gift.
Several Project Fi users are receiving a holiday gift that includes Lego blocks, a USB Type-C cable, and a card. When assembled, the blocks will form a charging stand that you can use with the included cable to make a nice little home for your Nexus 6, 5X, or 6P. You can also use it to make a cable organizer if you’d like.
Google hasn’t made any official announcements regarding the Project Fi holiday gift, but there is a support page that’ll tell you whether or not you can expect to get one. Google says that it started shipping the gifts on November 24 and that it’ll keep sending them out in batches through the coming weeks. If you’re eligible and don’t get one by December 16, you should let Google know.
This is a pretty neat gift from Google. It’s not often that you see wireless providers sending fun gifts like this to their customers, and I’m betting that the folks getting these Lego charging stands are even more jazzed on Project Fi than they were before.
