The first Verizon Ellipsis tablet debuted in 2013 with a 7-inch display, and then Verizon introduced a second model in 2014 with an 8-inch display. Now its 2015 and Verizon is once again launching a new, larger Ellipsis tablet.
The Verizon Ellipsis 10 runs Android 5.1 on a 10-inch 1920x1200 display. It’s got 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 9100mAh battery that Verizon says will last for up to 25 hours of “normal use.”
Verizon is now selling the Ellipsis 10 for $0 down and 24 payments of $12.49 per month ($299.99 full retail), or $199.99 with a two-year contract.
Like the past Ellipsis tablets, this new Ellipsis 10 looks to be a mid-range Android slate. It seems like a decent option for folks that want a connected tablet that’s not too hard on the wallet. Verizon doesn’t mention an update to Android 6.0 in its announcement of the Ellipsis 10, but here’s to hoping that Big Red does have a Marshmallow update in its plans.
