That numerical star rating tweak that I told you about yesterday isn’t the only UI change that Google is making to the Android version of the Play Store.
Apps that include Android Wear support will now include a small watch icon on its individual app page that’ll appear right above the Read More button. When you click that Read More button and scroll past the app description and What’s New sections, you’ll find that watch icon again along with a caption that reads “Android Wear - Enhanced for Android Wear.”
Interestingly, it doesn’t look like all apps with Android Wear support have gained this Android Wear indicator quite yet. That includes some of Google’s own apps, like Google Play Music and the Android Wear app. That suggests that Google is still in the process of rolling this new icon out across the entire Play Store.
Like the aforementioned numerical ratings, this new Android Wear icon is meant to give you more information about an app at a glance. If you wanted to check an app to see if it had Android Wear support before today, you either had to check Google Play’s small Android Wear app section or just install the app on your phone and see if something new popped up on your watch. Now you can save time by going to the app’s listing and checking for the watch icon.
Are you seeing this Android Wear icon in your Google Play app yet?
