Verizon today reported its Q3 2015 results, and the big red company’s wireless business added 1.3 million postpaid connections in the quarter, which Verizon notes doesn’t include wholesale or Internet of Things connections. Postpaid phone adds finished at 430,000, while tablet adds finished at 818,000. Verizon says that at the end of Q3 2015, it had 110.8 million retail connections, up 4.3 percent year-over-year.
Retail postpaid churn for the quarter finished at 0.93 percent, down from 1.00 percent year-over-year. Meanwhile, full retail churn for Q3 2015 finished at 1.21 percent, down from 1.29 percent year-over-year.
Verizon also notes that during Q3, 5.6 million phones were purchased on an installment plan. In total, Verizon has around 19 million device payment connections, which makes up 22 percent of its postpaid phone base.
Shifting over to financials, Verizon’s total revenues for the quarter finished at $23.0 billion, up 5.4 percent year-over-year. Service revenues fell 4.1 percent year-over-year to finished at $17.6 billion, while equipment revenues grew to $4.3 billion.
