BlackBerry today launched a pre-registration page for the BlackBerry Priv, and in the process is also confirmed a few of the device’s specs.
The BlackBerry Priv boasts a 5.4-inch dual-curved display and is powered by a 3410mAh battery. The rear camera is Schneider-Kreuznach-certified, and there’s also a physical keyboard that can be exposed by sliding the 5.4-inch screen up, a technology that BlackBerry calls SmartSlide. BlackBerry also touts that the Priv has “extraordinary audio quality.”
BlackBerry CEO John Chen previously teased that the Priv has “the latest specs,” including a Qualcomm processor. The rumor mill has suggested that the Priv is packing a 2560x1440 display resolution, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, microSD slot, 18-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. Those specs haven’t yet been confirmed by BlackBerry, but they could certainly be legit given what John Chen has said about the Priv.
