Back in July, OnePlus said that it’d sell its USB Type-C cable for around $5. Fast-forward to today and the cable is available for purchase.
You can now buy a OnePlus USB Type-C cable in two different lengths: 100cm and 150cm, or 3.25 feet and 4.92 feet, respectively. The shorter of the two cables will cost you $5.49, while the longer one is priced at $6.99.
No matter which length you choose, your OnePlus USB Type-C cable will come with a flat, tangle-free design, a reversible USB side, and a collar to help keep the cable easy to store.
USB Type-C ports aren’t quite common on Android devices, but the feature is steadily being adopted by more OEMs. Not only does the OnePlus 2 have a USB Type-C port, but both of Google’s new Nexus phones do. With its tangle-free design and reversible USB end, OnePlus’s USB Type-C cable could be worth a buy for folks that have a USB Type-C phone and want an extra cable around. That’s especially true for folks that are buying the Nexus 5X, which doesn’t include a USB Type-C to USB Standard-A cable in the box.
