When it comes to the release timing for these updates, Sony’s not saying much. The company explains that “software rollouts are a phased process” and that the timing will vary by market and carrier. However, Sony promises that it’s working as quickly as it can.
There aren’t many surprises to be found in Sony’s Android 6.0 update plans. Most of its recent flagship phones are there, including the Xperia Z2 that debuted early 2014, though it does look like the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z are done with major updates. There are also some recently-released mid-range models on the list, like the Xperia C4 and Xperia M4 Aqua.
