As soon as Google’s Nexus event came to an end, HTC announced a new event of its own.
HTC is hosting an event that’ll take place at 12:00 pm ET on October 20. The announcement simply says #BeBrilliant and includes a background of some rocks. HTC’s Jeff Gordon says that the smartphone that’ll be shown at the event will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Meanwhile, if you want an ALL NEW smartphone running Marshmallow out of the box, see what we have on Oct. 20 at http://t.co/JicQSdENvd!

As for what HTC might be planning to show at this event, it seems likely that we could finally see the official reveal of the HTC One A9. This phone has leaked pretty heavily in recent weeks, showing an Android phone with mid-range specs and a premium body. That may not be super-exciting to folks that want a new HTC flagship, but if the One A9 offers an attractive build at an affordable price, it could be a strong seller for the company.
