A couple of weeks after Google refreshed its Wallet app for Android, iOS version of the app has gotten the same treatment.
Google today updated its Google Wallet app for iOS with the same new look UI and icon as the Android version. Also like the Android version, the iOS Wallet app is now all about sending money to friends. Google is highlighting the app’s ability to easily let you split bills and settle up with friends.
With the Google Wallet app, you can enter a credit or debit card or link your bank account. Once you’ve got some cash in your Wallet account, you can choose to cash it out to a debit card, including to a Google Wallet card that’s accepted wherever MasterCard is. If you don’t have a Google Wallet card, the app will help you sign up for one if you’d like.
This new-look Google Wallet app looks nice, bringing a bit more of Google’s material design to Apple’s platform. And while there’s no shortage of ways to send cash to your buddies, Google Wallet is going to try and use its new look and Google branding to be your chosen method of sending money.
