Just as expected, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s pre-orders have gotten underway.
Pre-orders for Apple’s new smartphones are now live at several online shops. Apple is taking reservations for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus both on its website and in the Apple Store app for iOS, the latter of which is worth a shot if Apple’s website is giving you issues. If you’d prefer to buy from your carrier, you can buy an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon.
As far as pricing goes, the new iPhones are available on a variety of installment and lease plans as well as traditional two-year contracts and at full retail price. You can find a break down of all of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus prices right here.
While the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus may look similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus — save for the new Rose Gold color — there are quite a few upgrades in the new models. Those include the usual S upgrades like beefed up cameras and new processors as well as a 2nd Gen Touch ID fingerprint reader and 3D Touch, a touchscreen tech that’ll give you shortcuts when you press harder into the screen. For example, using 3D Touch on an app icon at the home screen will pop up a small list of actions, like Update Status and Take a Photo for Facebook. The new iPhones also include Live Photos, a feature that’ll capture a second or so before and after you take a photo and show them in the style of a GIF when you 3D Touch on a photo that you’ve captured.
Did you pre-order an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus? If so, which model did you select?
