Sony is expected to introduce a trio of new Xperia Z5-branded phones tomorrow, but some clear photos of all three phones have surfaced beforehand.
Images of the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, and Xperia Z5 Compact were posted today by Dutch site nu.nl. The photos look like they belong to a hands-on report that went up a bit early. In the images we can see all three phones laying next to one another, as well as the 23-megapixel rear cameras and side-mounted fingerprint readers that they all share. We also get a better look at the Xperia branding that etched into their sides.
The Xperia Z5 is also rumored to feature a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, while the Xperia Z5 Compact is expected to pack a 4.6-inch 1280x720 screen. As you might expect from its name, the Xperia Z5 Premium is the highest-end of the trio, reportedly packing a 5.5-inch 3840x2160 display. If that spec holds true, the Z5 Premium will offer one of the most high-res screens we’ve seen yet. Expect that screen to be super sharp and ideal for virtual reality.
Sony is holding its IFA event tomorrow, September 3, so stay tuned for the official announcements of these three devices.
