Lots of folks expect Motorola to introduce a new Moto 360 soon, but it looks like the company could actually have two new 360s in the works.
Two new listings in Anatel, a Brazilian regulatory body that’s similar to the FCC in the US, suggest that Motorola might have two models of the new Moto 360. The devices are model numbers “360S” and “360L,” and they include radios like Bluetooth LTE and Wi-Fi b/g/n as well as batteries that are 270Ah and 375mAh, respectively. The batteries are non-revmovable.
Unfortunately, the listings don’t include any statements like “Hey, this is a smartwatch” or any other hints about the devices’ identities. The details that are included could hint at them being two new Moto 360 models. For example, the model numbers 360S and 360L could indicate small and large models. Then there’s the battery capacities, which are smaller and larger than the original 360’s 320mAh battery pack.
While the Moto 360 is often considered one of the better Android Wear smartwatches around, its 46mm case can be a bit large for folks with smaller wrists. Offering two differently sized versions of the next Moto 360 could allow fans of the 360’s larger size to upgrade to the new model while also letting folks that thought the original 360 was too large to give Motorola another shot with the new version.
What changes would you like to see Motorola make with the new Moto 360?
