Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 owners, an update will be headed your way soon.
Alcatel OneTouch today reached out to me to say that it’s prepping an update for the Idol 3 that’ll include a Google security patch for the Stagefright exploit that we learned about last month. The update is slated to begin going out in the US “on or around August 10.”
We’ve seen quite a few Stagefright patches start going out recently, with manufacturers like Google and Samsung updating all of their flagship phones to protect against the exploit. It’s good to see Alcatel OneTouch doing the same and showing their commitment to the Idol 3.
