Time for another Update Wednesday, Android fans!
Google is now pushing out updates to its Google Keep and Google Slides apps for Android. First up, the Google Keep app will let you send your notes to Google Docs so that you can view and edit them in there if you’d like. To do it, you just need to select the Keep notes that you’d like to export, then tap the overflow menu and select “Copy to Google Doc.”
Next up is Google Slides. This update allows you to share your presentation using video calls on Google Hangouts. Using your Android phone or tablet, you can view who’s on the call before starting the presentation, and once you’re going you can advance slides, view speaker notes, and use a timer on your phone or tablet.
These are a couple of nice updates for Keep and Slides, making it easier to share your documents. With the Keep update, you can send your notes to Google Docs, making them easier to share with others and allow those folks to edit the docs on the desktop. Meanwhile, the Slides update makes it easier to share presentations with others by simply sharing them from your phone or tablet, meaning that you don’t have to share a presentation or gather people in a single room or anything like that.
Both the Google Keep and Google Slides updates are rolling out today, but right now it looks like only the Keep update is hitting users. You can get the update from APK Mirror right now if you don't feel like waiting for the Play Store to give it to you.
