Last year’s OnePlus One was a huge hit among Android fans. Considering that this smartphone came with powerful specs without the expensive price tag, it’s no surprise why many are awaiting its successor. With news about the release of the next OnePlus model, the OnePlus 2, people are already getting excited.
The expected release of the OnePlus 2 is set for a later date this month. Unfortunately, some pictures of the device were published by a Chinese wireless regulator called TENAA. With these leaked photos, many can’t help but compare the OnePlus 2 with last year’s model. There also appears to be a new, physical home button, which will most likely be the device’s fingerprint scanner. As announced by its Chinese manufacturer last month, this new “lightning quick” feature on the OnePlus 2 promises to be faster than the TouchID system found on iPhone devices.
Apart from its fingerprint scanner, OnePlus has announced that the device will be equipped with a couple of SIM card slots and a reversible USB Type-C connector. The OnePlus 2 will be running on a Snapdragon 810 processor with a powerful 4GB of RAM. When the OnePlus 2 officially launches, we’ll be able to see what really is in store for this new smartphone. Not to mention, the price of the phone is something most people are looking forward to hear. A recent tweet by the phone manufacturer’s CEO Pete Lau confirmed that it will be sold below $450. All of these things, however, will have to be unveiled at the OnePlus 2’s launch on July 27.
