Engineers of the San Francisco-based company called Turing Robotic Industries have finally developed a smartphone that’s like no other. Called the Turing Phone, this smartphone claims to be an unhackable device that any superhero would want to get their hands on. Since the smartphone is built from the use of liquidmorphium, a special metal considered to be stronger than steel and titanium, it supposedly makes the Turing Phone unbreakable.
In lieu of a USB port and headphone jack, the Turing Phone has a fingerprint reader on the side of the phone which activates the device. Its apps are built with end-to-end encryption, ensuring the slightest bit of information does not get sent out without the user’s permission. The phone does not use any sealing system so everything can easily be accessed and opened. Once submerged, water may enter the phone but thanks to its nano-coating, the internal components of the phone are kept safe and dry.
The phone features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display with its strong build quality. Powering it is a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM and storage options of 16/32/64GB. The phone comes with a 13MP rear-facing camera built with dual LED flash, an 8MP front-facing sensor, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, 4G LTE network compatibility, NFC and GPS. It has a non-removable 3000mAh battery built into its back along with sensors for fingerprint, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, humidity, temperature, and magnetometer. Upon unboxing, the phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Turing Aemaeth UI on top of it.
The Turing Phone will be available in three different color options—Pharaoh, Cardinal, and Beowulf. Pre-orders for the Turing Phone starts on July 31 with prices beginning $610 for a 16GB model.
