HTC today took the wraps off of four new Desire phones bound for various US carriers. The top model of the bunch is the Desire 626, which has a 5-inch 1280x720 Super LCD screen and quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor. The 626 also has an 8-megapixel camera on its rear and 5-megapixel shooter on its face. Rounding out the 626’s spec list is 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, 1.5GB of RAM, a 2000mAh battery, and Android 5.1 beneath HTC’s Sense UI.

HTC also introduced the Desire 626s today, which is largely similar to the 626 save for a couple of small spec changes. The 626s offers 8GB of storage, half that of the 626, and the 626s has 1GB of RAM. Finally, the 626s’s front camera has dropped to 2-megapixel resolution.

Moving down the line, we’ve got the Desire 526. This phone’s got a 4.7-inch 960x540 display on its face as well as a 2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear snapper. Inside the 526 lives a Snapdragon 210 processor, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 2000mAh battery. Like the 626, the 526 runs Android 5.1 and HTC Sense.

Finally, we’ve got the Desire 520, an Android 5.1 phone with a 4.5-inch 854x480 display. The Desire 520 is powered by a Snapdragon 210, just like the other new Desire phones. Also included with the 520 are 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot, 1GB of rAM, and a 2000mAh battery. 

HTC says that its new Desire phones will be released on a variety of carriers in the US, including AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, Sprint Prepaid, T-Mobile, Tracfone, Verizon, and Virgin Mobile. T-Mobile has already confirmed that it’ll launch the Desire 626s for $0 down, $7.09 for 23 months, and $6.92 for the 24th month, or $169.99 total. The Desire 626s will also hit MetroPCS on August 3 for $79.

These new HTC Desire phones appear to stretch from the affordable entry-level tier to the mid-range level. While there’s no stand-out flagship phone, the new Desires could help HTC to get a better foothold with price conscious customers, especially since the phones are going to be available across so many different US operators.
