Sprint said last month that it would be expanding its Direct 2 You personal setup service to more locales in July, and today that’s exactly what it’s done.

Sprint Direct 2 You is now live in Dallas, Texas; Detroit, Mich.; Tampa, Fla.; and Washington D.C. More rollouts are expected to happen “across the country” throughout the second half of 2015.

Sprint Direct 2 You aims to bring the in-store device setup experience to a customer, wherever they may be. To use it, you simply schedule an appointment by calling 844-347-2968 or by going to the Sprint Direct 2 You website. A Sprint rep will then come to you, whether you’re at home, work, a cafe, or wherever else, and help you activate your phone, transfer content, and make sure that your phone is ready to go.

Most of us mobile nerds probably wouldn’t need a service like Sprint Direct 2 You, but it could be handy for someone that’s not as technologically inclined. The Direct 2 You service ensures that those customers can get their new phone up and running smoothly without having to try and carve time out of their busy schedule to visit a Sprint store.
