Days after a report claimed that the Galaxy Note 5 might debut earlier in the year than past models, a new rumor purports to know the exact date on which Samsung’s flagship phablet will be introduced.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 5 will be announced on August 12, with a launch expected to happen 9 days later on August 21. The Galaxy S6 edge Plus, a phablet version of the Galaxy S6 edge with a 5.7-inch display, is also expected to be revealed on August 12. Sounds like it’s going to be a big *nudge nudge* day for Samsung.

Today’s report also claims that the Galaxy Note 5 will lack a microSD card slot. That’d be a bummer for folks that love expandable storage, but it’d also be not entirely surprising considering that the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have ditched microSD cards, too. Sure, the Galaxy Note phones are typically more workhorse-y than the Galaxy S phones, but both models typically share design and feature details.

As for what the Note 5 will have, it’s expected to include Samsung’s own Exynos 7422 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 Super AMOLED display, and a design that includes metal and glass and a thin bezel. The next Note is shaping up to be an impressive Android phablet, but a lack of a microSD slot could be tough for some folks to accept.
