Verizon certainly took its time launching the Nexus 6, but if you’re running the newest Nexus phone on the reddest network, you’ll be pleased to know that an update is headed your way.
Verizon’s Nexus 6 support page shows that it has approved an update to build LMY47Z, which is the same Android 5.1.1 update that’s available for the Sprint and US Cellular versions of the N6. Verizon only says that the LMY47Z update contains “bug fixes and stability improvements,” which sounds about accurate.
If you’re using a Nexus 6 on Verizon’s network, then you’re probably going to want to keep an eye out for this update. After all, what Nexus owner doesn’t want to be on the latest version of Android? To check for the update manually, you can go into Settings > About phone > System updates > Check now.
