T-Mobile recently teased its Un-carrier Amped initiative that’ll see it improve some of its past Un-carrier moves, and the first one to get Amped is JUMP!
With JUMP! On Demand, you can upgrade your new phone up to three times per year. When you decide to get a new device, you pay nothing out of pocket in the store — including sales tax — if you've got qualifying credit. If you don't have qualifying credit, you'll make one upfront payment similar to an EIP. You’ll then pay a monthly payment that includes the cost of the smartphone. Those payments last for 18 months, and when that time is up, you can turn in your phone and pay nothing more, upgrade to a new device, or make a final payment and keep the phone.
As an example, T-Mobile says that the 16GB iPhone 6 will be available for $15 per month. So if you’d like that device, you pay nothing out of pocket in store, and then pay $15 per month for 18 months. You can upgrade whenever you’d like during that time, or you can pay all 18 months and then make a final payment and keep the iPhone if you’d like.

With JUMP! On Demand, you’re no longer paying the $10 per month fee associated with the old JUMP! program. However, it’s worth noting that JUMP! On Demand doesn’t include device insurance like regular JUMP! If you’d like to add insurance to your JUMP! On Demand phone, it’ll cost an extra $8 per month.
JUMP! On Demand is launching in stores on June 28, and it’ll be available with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 4, and LG G4. T-Mobile says that it'll add more phones in the future. Prices for current handsets range from $15 for the iPhone 6 — which is a limited time offer and requires a trade-in — up to $32.49 for the Galaxy S6 edge. Speaking of the original JUMP! program, it will continue to stick around for customers that prefer it over JUMP! On Demand.
