Earlier this month, ASUS introduced the ZenWatch 2, its newest Android Wear smartwatch with two different size options. The ZenWatch 2 isn’t actually launching until Q3 2015, though. If you don’t feel like waiting that long for a new Android Wear smartwatch, you can now get a deal on the original ZenWatch.
Both Amazon and Best Buy are now selling the ASUS ZenWatch for $149.99, a full $50 off of Google’s asking price. It’s worth pointing out, though, that Amazon says that orders won’t be shipped for 1 to 2 months. Meanwhile, Best Buy says orders will be shipped in 1 business day, and you’ve also got the option of same-day store pickup if there’s a Best Buy store near you with ZenWatch stock.
The ASUS ZenWatch features a 1.63-inch 320x320 AMOLED display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and IP55 water resistance. While the ZenWatch may have lost a bit of its appeal with the debut of the ZenWatch 2, the OG ZenWatch is still a functional device, and it runs the latest version of Android Wear. So if you’re interested in a new Android Wear smartwatch but don’t want to spend a bunch of cash, this ZenWatch deal may be worth a look.
