Two years after the ZTE Overture launched at Aio Wireless, its successor has launched at Cricket Wireless (which Aio became part of when AT&T bought Cricket).
The ZTE Overture 2 has quietly arrived at Cricket with a price of $49.99, but if you take advantage of the mail-in rebate for the device, you can get it for free. The spec list for the 4G LTE-enabled Overture 2 includes a 4.5-inch 854x480 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot, and 1GB of RAM. Powering the device is a 2100mAh and Android 5.0.
The Overture 2 looks like a solid improvement over the original Overture, both in terms of specs and design. And at $50 or free with mail-in rebate, it’s not a bad deal for anyone looking for an affordable smartphone.
