If you’re lucky enough to already have an Apple Watch strapped to your wrist, then I’ve got some exciting news for you.
Apple just released an update to Watch OS 1.0.1, which is the first update that the Apple Watch has received since its public launch in late April. The update includes performance improvements for Siri, third-party apps, stand activity, and more as well as display support for new Emoji characters and additional language support.
To download this update, you’ll need to grab the iPhone that your Apple Watch is paired with, then head into the Apple Watch app, select General, and then go into Software Update.
While this new update is only an x.0.1 jump from the launch Watch OS version, the changelog makes it look like a pretty significant bump. So if you've already got an Apple Watch strapped to your wrist, you may want to update that thing as soon as you can. And yes, you will need to take it off and hook it up to a charger to install this update, even if your Watch's battery is above 50 percent. Hopefully you've got a charger nearby!
