Sony is one manufacturer that’s still making well-specced Android phones with smaller screens, like the Xperia Z3 Compact. And today the company continued that effort with a new member of its Xperia family.
The Sony Xperia A4 has been announced for Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, offering a small size alternative to the recently-announced Xperia Z4. While the Xperia A4 isn’t quite as high-end as the Z4, it does have a pretty respectable feature set, especially when compared to most other “mini” versions of flagships phones that we see from other device makers. The Xperia A4 is slated to launch on NTT DoCoMo in Japan in mid-June. There’s no word on when or if the device will see the fluorescent light of retail stores in other countries, which is kind of a bummer for folks that prefer smaller phones and their one hand-ability.
