Nexus 5 owners, it looks like a new update may soon be headed your way.
Sprint has updated its Nexus 5 support site to say that the phone’s Android 5.1.1 update is coming. The update will bump the N5 to build LMY48B, and it’ll include some “security enhancements” as well. Strangely, Sprint says that the rollout began on March 11, but that’s likely a typo since that’s the date that Sprint pushed out the previous N5 update.
While Android 5.1.1 doesn’t include any major new features over Android 5.1, many Nexus owners want to be on the latest version of Android as quickly as possible, and so I’m sure that many Nexus folk are itching to get the Android 5.1.1 update that quietly debuted one month ago. If you’ve got a Nexus 5, be sure to keep an eye out for an update in the coming days.
