Last month, OnePlus said that it expected the OnePlus One’s Cyanogen OS 12 update to be available by March 30. Obviously, that didn’t happen. The good news is that, like OxygenOS before it, the Cyanogen OS 12 update shouldn’t miss its end of March deadline by much.
OnePlus co-founder and Director of Global Carl Pei tweeted today that the OnePlus One’s Cyanogen OS 12 update has passed its certification. The update is expected to roll out to users sometime in the “next few days,” says Pei.
Cyanogen OS 12 is based on Android 5.0, giving OnePlus One owners a second option for updating their phone to Lollipop. Once the Cyanogen OS 12 update arrives, it’ll be interesting to see which Android 5.0 update OnePlus One users end up sticking with for the long-term.
