After years of consumers borrowing HBO Go passwords and begging for a standalone HBO service, HBO Now has arrived.
HBO Now is available for download on iPhone and iPad, and it should begin appearing on Apple TV today as well. The service gives you access to HBO’s streaming catalog, including popular shows like Game of Thrones and Girls, as well as movies, sports, and comedy specials. HBO Now is priced at $14.99 per month, but if you sign up on an Apple device before April 30, you’ll get one month of service for free.
HBO Now is a tad pricier than services like Netflix and Hulu Plus, which cost $8.99 and $7.99 per month, respectively. HBO Now offers several popular shows that you can’t get on other services though, as well as their popular documentaries. So if you’re interested in being part of the conversation with shows like Game of Thrones, it may be worth giving HBO Now a look.
