If you’ve got an LG G3 from T-Mobile, then you can update to Android 5.0 right this second.
An update to Android 5.0.1 is now available for the T-Mobile version of the LG G3, but you’ll need to use the LG Mobile Support Tool to install it. You can grab that by heading to this LG page, clicking “Software Update (LG Mobile Support Tool),” then following the instructions given to you. The page note that you’ll need a Windows PC running Windows 2000 or later to install the LG Mobile Support Tool.
T-Mobile hasn’t made any announcements regarding the LG G3’s Lollipop update, and the carrier’s support page shows that Android 5.0 is still undergoing T-Mobile testing. Now that the update is available through the LG Mobile Support Tool, it shouldn’t be too long before it starts going out over the air too, so don’t fret if you don’t have a computer that meets the update tool’s requirements.
If you are able to update your T-Mobile LG G3 to Lollipop, be sure to share your first impressions with us!
