Now that HTC and Samsung have unveiled their new flagship Android phones, many folks are looking forward to LG’s next big thing.
Several images of what might be the LG G4 or a stylus-equipped "LG G4 Note" have been posted by s3rv1cet3ch on xda-developers. The device doesn’t look terribly different from the LG G3, sporting a rear button setup, rounded corners, and a slightly curved top. There are a few differences between this device and the G3 that are work noting, though. For example, the front-facing camera on this leaked LG device is on the right of the earpiece, but it’s on the left on the G3. Additionally, the rear power/lock button on this device is oval-shaped, and it’s round on the G3. This device is also sporting the new LG logo.
One other detail worth noting is that this leaked LG smartphone has something poking out of the upper left corner of its rear. The source of the images suggests that it’s a stylus and that this is the “LG G4 Note.” We’ve also seen LG place a stylus in that place before on the LG G3 Stylus. However, it’s also suggested that this thing could be an antenna like the ones found on Korean smartphones, which are used for watching over-the-air television. What’s interesting is that this device appears to have T-Mobile’s 4G LTE indicator in its status bar.
Since this is a leak — and especially since it’s about an upcoming flagship phone — you should keep in mind that this could be an elaborate fake. It wouldn’t be the first time that we’ve seen a major manufacturer take the design of its previous flagship, apply a few small tweaks, and then release it as a new model, though.
