A new company has entered the low-cost Android smartphone battle.
Icon Q today introduced the Q5.5, which its first smartphone ever (it’s got a couple of Android tablets). The Q5.5 features a 5.5-inch 1280x720 display and 5-megapixel camera on its face, a 13-megapixel shooter on its rear, and a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M processor at its core. Also packed inside of its body is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, dual SIM slots, a 2100mAh battery, and HSPA 850/1900/2100MHz connectivity.
The Android 4.4-powered Q5.5 is now available for purchase directly from Icon Q for $199 without a commitment. The phone is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S., but it’s worth noting that it’s got no LTE connectivity.
