After Microsoft announced some of the new features of Windows 10 for phones back in January, additional features of the updated OS continue to trickle out.
Polish site Windows Mania has posted a handful of screenshots that give us a preview of more features that’ll be present in Windows 10 for phones. Perhaps the most notable one is support for apps to have LED notifications in addition to sounds, vibrations, and banners. It’s worth noting that only select Windows Phone models currently have LEDs, like the Lumia 730 and Lumia 930.
Other new features tipped by today’s leak are the ability to remove a Microsoft account without wiping the phone as well as user interface tweaks like better context menus, new toggles, and round avatars instead of square ones.
Many BlackBerry fans swear by their blinking red LED, and while the feature isn’t quite as widespread on Android, there are folks that consider an LED notification light to be a major feature of a new phone. While Microsoft already has its Glance Screen feature for quickly checking your alerts, having LED notifications provides another, more easier option for checking to see if you’ve got any alerts.
Is having an LED notification light on your phone important to you?
