If you’re a T-Mobile customer that’s not currently on an unlimited 4G LTE data plan, T-Mo may bump you up to an unlimited plan for no charge.
T-Mobile is now sending text messages out to select customers to let them know that they’re being upgraded to an unlimited 4G LTE data plan through the end of 2015. Included with the text is a link to a page that thanks the recipient for being a loyal customer. The page also notes that if you accept the upgrade to an unlimited 4G LTE plan, you’ll lose your Data Stash and your starter stash. You also won’t get some of the perks of the full-on $80 unlimited 4G LTE plan, like Rhapsody unRadio or 5GB tethering allowance (you’ll keep your current tethering allowance).
There’s no word yet on exactly how T-Mobile is selecting customers for this promo, but only customers that receive the SMS from T-Mobile are eligible. Getting bumped up to unlimited LTE data for a full year sounds like a pretty nice offer, though, so long as you keep an eye on your tethering and don’t go over your regular allowance. If you’re a T-Mo customer that’s not already on an unlimited LTE plan, keep an eye on your SMS inbox in the coming days for this offer.
