Following the news that T-Mobile is updated its Galaxy Note 3 to Android 5.0, many Galaxy Note 4 owners were wondering where their taste of Lollipop was. Well if you’re a Sprint customer, it’s coming today.
Sprint’s Galaxy Note 4 support page says that the device’s Android 5.0 update is rolling out today, March 5. The update bumps the device up to software version N910PVPU1BOB7 and includes Lollipop and all of the goodies that come with it, like Material Design notifications and new lock screen alerts, as well as some unspecified “Wi-Fi Calling Enhancements.”
Because the Galaxy Note 4 is one of Samsung’s current flagship smartphones, it’s always been a question of when — not — its Android 5.0 update would begin rolling out. Now Sprint’s push is underway, and hopefully the rollouts for other major U.S. carriers get underway soon.
If you’ve got a Sprint Note 4, you can check for this update by going into Settings > System > System update > Update now.
