If you use Gmail for iOS, you should fire up the App Store and check for updates, because there’s a new version of Google’s email app rolling out.
The Gmail v4.0 update adds support for actionable notifications, letting you reply to or archive new emails directly from the notification. The update also adds iOS share sheet support, meaning that you can attach photos and documents to a new message in Gmail from other apps by opening up the share button in iOS. Finally, the Gmail v4.0 update lets you open attachments from Gmail in any other app.
The previous Gmail update added support for the larger displays on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Today’s update continues Gmail’s adoption of iOS 8 features, something that I’m sure users of the Gmail app for iOS are happy to see.
