Earlier this month, Samsung revealed a Galaxy S6 that looks pretty different from the Galaxy S phones that came before it. Apparently Sammy’s not the only major mobile manufacturer that’s going to overhaul its flagship phone in 2015, though.
LG executive Cho Juno has revealed that the Life’s Good crew is planning to give the G4 a look that differs greatly from the G3 that came before it. It’s said that the LG G4 will sport a “metal-mixtured body” and that it could make a debut in April. LG is apparently going to refresh its user experience, too, because Cho teased that LG UX 4.0 with major UX improvements will be introduced ahead of the G4. Finally, Cho said that LG plans to “gradually” begin using its own processors in its smartphones to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm.
LG has become a major player in the smartphone market in recent years thanks to its quality hardware and wide releases of the G2 and G3. I’m looking forward to seeing what LG’s got planned for the G4 in terms of a new look, but LG’s custom Android overlay isn’t exactly the most-loved skin around, and so I’m a bit more interested in finding out what big changes that LG’s got planned for its UX.
Are you looking forward to the LG G4? What changes would you like to see LG make it its UX?
