Tomorrow’s the day that the HTC One M9 will finally make its official debut, but unfortunately for the company, a hands-on video showing its new Android flagship appears to have leaked out ahead of time.
A new video posted to YouTube gives us a brief overview of the HTC One M9 and a comparison between it and the HTC flagships that’ve come before it, the One (M8) and One (M7). The video doesn’t really show us any new details about the One M9, but it does give us a clear, close-up look of the dual finish metal unibody model that features a silver rear and gold trim. Also shown in the video are the One M9’s side button setup, its 20-megapixel rear camera, and its UltraPixel front-facing shooter.
There’s been some controversy over the HTC One M9’s design, with leaks showing both a One (M8)-like design as well as a more revolutionary look. It’s looking like the One (M8)-like design is the one that might be legit, and while some folks might be bummed that HTC didn’t change up the design more, the One (M8) is still one of the best-looking smartphones around. HTC does appear to have addressed the complaints that some users had with the One (M8)’s Duo Camera setup by giving the One M9 a much beefier camera, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of shots the 20-megapixel camera can churn out.
