Heads up, AT&T customers, because your big blue carrier has a new limited time offer that you might be interested in.
AT&T is offering open enrollment for its mobile insurance program from now, February 27, through March 31. AT&T has three different insurance programs for you to choose from:
- AT&T Mobile Insurance: The base program is $6.99 per month and covers loss, theft, accidental damage, and out-of-warranty malfunctions for a phone or tablet. You get two claims per consecutive 12-month period.
- AT&T Mobile Protection Pack: Next up is the MPP, which is $9.99 per month and includes the standard Mobile Insurance program as well as technical assistant with “enhanced support” as well as the Mobile Locate app that’ll let you lock and erase a lost device.
- AT&T Multi-Device Protection Pack: The MDPP is $29.99 per month and includes insurance, enhanced support, and the Mobile Locate app for three phones or tablets.
Typically you can only enroll in insurance within 30 days of activating or upgrading a device. Open enrollment lets anyone sign up for insurance, regardless of whether or not they’re within that 30-day window, so this is a nice offer for folks that originally disregarded insurance but are now having second thoughts about the program.
