Google Search and Google Now seem to be gaining new features every few weeks or so, and now it’s been discovered that Google Search has learned another new trick.

Android 5.0 devices can now toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the flashlight can be toggled by telling Google Search to turn the feature on or off. As noted by Android Police, you’ll get some audio feedback after issued a command like “Turn on Wi-Fi” as well as a card with a toggle that can let you tap it to reverse the action if you accidentally triggered it.

Right now it looks like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the flashlight are the only settings that can be toggled with Google Search. Trying to toggle settings like Airplane Mode or Location with your voice will simply give you a shortcut to the Settings app.

It’s not known exactly how long these voice toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the flashlight have actually worked, but it’s certainly a welcome change. Google Search can already do all kinds of everyday things like show the weather, give you reminders, tell you when to leave for an event with Google Now, but these new voice toggles are basic features that most everyone could use at one point or another. Here’s to hoping that more toggles are added in the future.
