The Galaxy S6 is coming. That’s probably what it’s going to be called, anyway. Samsung’s teasing the “next Galaxy,” and there’s always the possibility that they’ll change up the naming scheme, but the safe bet is probably the Galaxy S6. And as we work towards the official announcement date, the manufacturer is making sure to keep our eyes trained on what’s coming.

The teases started with a focus on the camera, and letting us all know in advance that the camera in the next Galaxy is going to be amazing. If you listen to marketing, well, there’s a lot to be excited for right there. The next tease was all about performance, and we’ll get back to that in a moment. And, just today, Samsung teased what’s presumed to be the metal body of the next Galaxy.

It’s all a big mystery at this point, despite the fact that there have been a few reports out there that have supposedly detailed the full specifications list for the device. Some of them might even be right, but until Samsung makes the Galaxy S6 official it’s all just a bunch of rumors.

We won’t ignore the rumors, though, because this time around they’re painting a pretty fantastic picture. My favorite at this point is that Samsung is going to trim the Galaxy S6 way down when it comes to the software, and treat the next Galaxy more like a Nexus device. More than that, though, Samsung’s going to boot all the pre-packaged Samsung software (and load up Microsoft stuff instead), and apparently it’s going to be amazing right out of the box.

The rumors do indeed suggest the Galaxy S6 is going to be pretty amazing, and that’s why I want to hear from you.

I want to hear what you actually want to see in the next Galaxy flagship device. Are you looking forward to wireless charging? How about a big, sharp display? Does the camera have to be amazing for you to even consider it as your next daily driver?

And that brings me back to the performance tease from before. I think it’s great that Samsung is supposedly throttling back on the TouchWiz stuff, but it won’t mean anything if the performance of the device isn’t up to snuff. Luckily, it’s not a secret that TouchWiz is the reason many Galaxy-branded devices get weighed down over time, so this could actually all be handled pretty nicely.

And that’s what I want to see out of the Galaxy S6 more than anything else. Trimmed TouchWiz and better, consistent performance across the board. If that happens, well, I think Samsung might have a hit on their hands as far as I’m concerned. Then again, it might look awful and then it won’t matter much at all, right?
