So far we’ve seen the unlocked, developer, Sprint, and T-Mobile versions of the HTC One (M8) get their Android 5.0 updates. And now we know that we’ll likely be able to add Verizon to that list in a few weeks.
Mo Versi, HTC’s VP of Product Management, has revealed that the Verizon HTC One (M8)’s update to Android 5.0 is currently “in the lab” and that it’s expected that the update will get approved by Verizon in the first week of March. The update will likely begin rolling out to users a day or so after it’s approved.
It’s worth noting that it’s possible that the Verizon One (M8)’s update may not be approved the first week of March due to an unforeseen bug or some other issue. Still, I’m sure that Verizon One (M8) owners are happy to hear that their Lollipop update is getting close after seeing their Sprint and T-Mobile compatriots get their own updates.
