OnePlus teased last month that it’d share more details about its custom OxygenOS Android ROM on February 12, and now that that date has come, that’s precisely what OnePlus has done.

OnePlus today revealed the official logo for OxygenOS and rehashed its plans for the ROM. OxygenOS will be “clean and streamlined for performance,” OnePlus says, with a focus on offering a lightweight experience that’ll offer good battery life and system efficiency. OnePlus goes on to say that any additional features that it adds will be “non-obtrusive and extremely useful,” like tap-to-wake and customizable Android navigation buttons.

As far as a release goes, OnePlus says that there are a lot of certifications that it must go through for its Lollipop-based ROM before it can be released. The final build is currently in testing, and because this is OnePlus’s first major software release, the company wants to take time to ensure that its ROM is stable.

In the meantime, OnePlus has offered up some details on its OxygenOS team. The group includes important members of the team behind Paranoid Android, a popular Android ROM, as well as Android app developers, theme creators, and folks that used to work at Google and Microsoft.
