The OnePlus One is known for a lot of things, including its price and its owner's questionable promotions, but perhaps the thing that it’s best known for is the invitation system that requires potential buyers to have an invitation before they can purchase a unit. Now OnePlus is finally doing away with the invite system, but only one day a week.
OnePlus today announced that every Tuesday, it will have open sales of the OnePlus One starting at 12:00 am PT/8:00 am GMT/4:00 pm HKT. Both the 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone Black models will be available.
The OnePlus One has been available in a few limited time open sales in the past, but this recurring open sale is pretty big news. Now anyone that wants a OnePlus One can get one so long as they’re willing to wait for Tuesday. Sure, we’re getting pretty deep into the OnePlus One’s life at this point, but it’ll still be nice to know that you can just buy the One if you want it without having to hunt down an invitation.
For customers in India, the OnePlus One will be available tomorrow, February 10, for a one-day open sales event. The open sales will begin at 10:00 am IST on Amazon.in.
